We saw people were provided with a choice of healthy food and drinks which helped to ensure their nutritional needs were met.
Sycamore Hall Care Home
This provided a good overview of the quality of the service provided and meant the quality of the service was being kept under review. We saw from people's care plans that people were supported to live as independently as possible. Staff at the home had carried out an assessment of the needs of each person, and kept this under review, to enable appropriate care and support to be given. The care home is a large detached property situated in its own grounds. Accommodation is provided over three floors and there are two passenger lifts for people who have reduced mobility.
I want to thank you for looking after my mother in your home as this makes a huge difference to me knowing that she is in such a wonderful homely environment. The accomodation itself is always very clean, pleasant and well kept. Mum especially enjoys many hours sitting in the consevatory in the sunshine looking out on the beautiful gardens. My special thanks to all the staff that always show such a warm, kind, caring and professional approach to my mother and to our family when we visit. Type of Service
We have forty single bedrooms and one twin bedded room all individually furnished and decorated to a very high standard. Every bedroom has its own en-suite facilities and is equipped with state of the art nurse call system, colour television, and direct dial telephone if required. The registered providers are Mr Alan Broadbent and Mrs Glennis Carolyn Broadbent with the day to day running overseen by Mr John Broadbent and Mrs Collette Broadbent. We offer long stay, convalescent, respite and day care services with a wide range of activities and outings as well as a full choice of menu, freshly prepared daily.
Whether you are looking for yourself or helping a relative or friend in their search, there are many questions to be answered. We encourage you to come and see for yourself so that you have the opportunity to chat with staff and residents and get a feel for the atmosphere of the Home. You are more than welcome to visit and view the home at anytime, however if you wish to speak to the manager it maybe advisable to make an appointment. An inspection occurred on November 11th, 2017 and was conducted unannounced. A second visit by the Care Quality Commission took place on 12 December 2017 and was announced. The Coaching House Nursing Home is a residential home for people who live in care. The provider had a system in place for responding to people's concerns and complaints. People were regularly asked for their views and there were effective systems in place to monitor and improve the quality of the service provided.

Level access is maintained throughout the building aided by two passenger lifts serving the upper floors. Wide corridors and room doors assist those clients needing wheelchair access. Bathrooms with electric hoist facilities and level entry showers are all conveniently located as are the disabled toilets.
